Special offers in April

As ever bookings have been coming in thick and fast for our gites and houses, infact we even have a reservation for 2014!
However we still have space in April and for some dates in May, both two of the loveliest months with warm bright sunny days , the spring blossom giving way to glorious poppies and not forgetting the wonderful produce that appears in the markets including Asparagus, cherries and strawberries.
If you want a break away from the miserable weather send us an e mail and we will confirm the dates on offer and availability.

Happy holidays!

For a number of years we have celebrated New Year with some of our closest friends Steve & Debbie in Toronto.
However it is damn cold so this year we chose something warmer - Miami and the western Caribbean

First night on the strip in South beach, buzzing with activity,
a far cry from Saint Saturnin Les
Apt!

The guys - Steve left who I have known since I was 15, Ian, centre,  who I worked with from 1985 and moi

Sheena, (Ian's wife) a constant source or entertainment and creme eggs, Debbie and Karen.

After a night in Miami we took to our floating Hotel,
Carnival's Liberty along with 3500 fellow passengers!
Our first night of glamour, don't the ladies look gorgeous!

And the boys, first time I have worn a tie in a few years!
Our first stop, Cozumel in Mexico.
Where Karen had arranged for us to join an America's cup sail boat and do some crewing.
I was primary grinder and then steered her which was quite an honour, oh, and we beat the Canadian boat too!
Back on the ship, we prepare for the New Year, dinner and then party!
Probabally one of the best New Year parties ever - with about 2500 people on top deck!
there was plenty of dancing ! a great time was had by all.
No one told me the party was over!!

No time to relax though on New years day!
up at 8am and off to snorkel one of the worlds greatest reefs.

Just off Belize we were finally given the chance to relax on this tiny island which thankfully had a watering hole!
Thats what I call a bucket of cold beer!

Departing Belize with calm seas and a lovely sunset

Next morning we arrive in Roatan where the sun is shining!

Here we are bright and early ready for our next adventure

Swimming with Dolphins, something we have both wanted to do for years.
And in such a beautiful setting.

Introducing Fiona!

She was very receptive to the attention and tickling!

kisses for Karen

and me too!

After Roatan we headed for Grand Cayman, along with a few other cruisers!

But we found some space to enjoy the Stingrays.

They are rather effectionate creatures

I was getting jealous
until I had a kiss for myself!

The femails measure over 5 feet wide.

Our final day at sea, time to reflect on a great holiday with our bestest of friends!
Arriving back in Miami we spent one last day on south beach before heading home.
A week in the UK followed, we went to Wales, Winchester, Lewes, London,Barnet, Romford, Pleshey & finally Weybridge & Walton.
Thank you to everyone for putting us up and making us so welcome!
Now the diet begins!

A very belated Happy christmas & new Year!

As has been the tradition since we live here we enjoyed Christmas at home.
We participated in the Christmas carol concert in Goult,
held each year followed by drinks at the Cafe de poste.
Christmas eve we always enjoy a selection of  seafood , Oysters, prawns, crab & salmon.
And Christmas dinner, a salmon en croute perfectly prepared by Karen.

After a quiet boxing day ( not celebrated in France) we packed our bags ready for our
break for New Year!
