Provence Tayl's

A little insight into our life and travels in Provence, without doubt one of the most beautiful regions of France where we are lucky enough to live and run our business offering luxury holiday rentals, and in the off season indulging in some travel and leisure.

About Me

My photo
David
St - Saturnin-Lès-Apt, Vaucluse, France
It took just one holiday in the Luberon in 2003 for us to fall in love with Provence. This lead to us buying a village house in Saint Saturnin Les Apt which we envisaged as a holiday home, but after just half a dozen visits we were smitten and took the rather radical step of leaving home and work in Surrey, England to move here permanently. Today we have a three bedroom villa with private pool located close to our own home where we have two gites and a chambre d'hote room all of which share our swimming pool. Now (2015) as we approach our 7th season over half our clients are repeat guests. Our season starts at Easter and runs to mid October and each week is punctuated by Saturday changeover day, always hectic with Karen and I carrying out the cleaning, whilst during the week we maintain the gardens, pools and do the laundry! When not carrying out our work duties we continue to enjoy visiting and exploring the endless number of beautiful Provencal villages and towns, taking photographs, hiking and enjoying great food and wine in restaurants and at home with friends and family. We also enjoy travelling further afield during winter with South Africa a firm favourite.
