One of the most frequently questions I am asked is why we chose to live in Saint Saturnin Les Apt - of all the villages there are in the Luberon. Well pictures speak a thousand words!

From the Moulin , which dates to the 17th Century, there are wonderful views towards the Luberon, it is also perfect for superb sunsets.

It is five years we we first discovered Saint Saturnin, and from the first time we walked to the top of the chateau and took in the breathtaking views we have to this day never tired of the back drop of the Luberon, the valley filled with Cherry and Olive trees and perectly manicured grapevines.

The picturesqe rooftops of the village houses with the church spire behind.

This view to the South takes in the village houses (including the one we used to live in)with the Luberon behind.

At the top of the village, the Chateau, which dates to the 11th century, has a beautifully restored chapel.

This is only open on certain Sundays so we were lucky this week to catch a glimpse mid week!

From here there are simply stunning views towards the Luberon and Alpilles .

The winter crocus are bursting through everywhere, enticed by the warm Autumn sunshine.

And this is one fountain we will always adore - we passed many an hour sitting here contemplating!

So there you have just a few glimpes of the village and why it captured our hearts.
