Thursday 21st January
Little India, over 100,000 Indians live in this suberb which from our experience is quite like the real India , just not as dirty! Remember there is a fine of S$1000 for dropping a cigarette end and S$500 for chewing gum and also for taking a fruit Duriam in a public place!

Colourful shop fronts add to the atmosphere.

Seriously colourful shops!

We decided not to take lunch, instead heading to China town........

As many of you know, I love shopping, and always have an eye out for a deal, but I am not sure I was going to find it here

Affordable accommodation for the locals in colourful appartment blocks with plenty of clothes hanging space!

This is the public library, pretty impressive...........

China town, getting ready for New year on 14th February

Choose your chopsticks!

And for the evening , we took cocktails at Raffles, a Singapore sling of course! at S$28,95!

Hot work in the kitchen of Raffles Hotel.....

And to end the evening, drinks on the 70th floor of the 'stamford' with fabulous views. (you need to take a mortgage for the drinks but hey ho!)

Next Stop......Auckland, New Zealand
