Tuesday 19th Jan
Arrived in Singapore early evening after 13 hour flight. Local time 8 hours ahead of UK. What immediately struck, as it often does outside the UK is what an amazing airport to arrive at, instantly summing up Singapore, Impressive, spotless and effiecient.

There is an excellent open top bus with two routes running round the city taking in all the major sites

This is a former Police station, pretty smart!

One of several famous hotels, the Fullerton on the rivers edge surrounded by city skyscapers.

That Norman Foster gets everywhere, and I don't mean the building with the green roof!

The new waterfront theatre knick named The Durians, after the fruit it resembles.

In the centre are the botanical gardens proving a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hi

Nice photos

Looks like a contrast to the European weather right now.
